Kiss Me First - Azana Planet DMPs

This is the planet of Azana. This matte painting was used in pretty much all episodes of the show as it served as the log in screen for the game and in in-show promotional materials for the game. I painted this in quite high resolution (16k) as the script orignally needed a zoom in shot of the matte. That also required a version of the planet without the red atmosphere as the game worlds atmosphere is earthlike, so we would pass through the red atmosphere into the more normal earth atmosphere.

During 5 months in 2017 I worked with Axis Studios on the Netflix and Channel 4 mini series Kiss Me First under the direction of Kan Muftic. I made a lot of the "epic" looking matte paintings for this. It was a pretty cool gig for a Matte Painting gig as the paintings were all suppose to look like a fantastic game world. We could go wilder with use of colour and light than usual.
